7 months
My baby girl turned 7 months yesterday and I cannot believe how fast the time has gone by. I know it sounds so cliche, but it's because it is so true. I get a little more sad with her growing so fast, because I know it will be awhile until we adopt again.. Jason and I are going to wait until he is finished with nursing school, has all of his program paid off and has a job as a full time nurse. By then my baby will probably be 4 and Koa will be 7. That sounds completely weird! But who knows what the future holds, after all these are just our plans, but God has our perfect destiny all mapped out.
Norah weighs 13 lbs 5 oz now, is sitting up pretty well, is trying desperately to crawl (rocks on all fours and scoots herself backwards), has 2 bottom teeth (but her upper ones are trying to poke through), and is still her happy self! Last month she had a battle with the flu and had bouts of throwing up and diarrhea, but thank goodness she recovered after a few days.
Her hair has stay tried and true to dark brown, but her eyes are still changing! In the sun I see brown, gray and green. She has eaten some table foods like gnawing on a hunk of bread and a pita slice, but this month we are going to officially start her on baby food. She is still nursing using the SNS every 2-3 hours and is now taking 5-6 oz! She has started to get a tiny bit of stranger anxiety and lays her head on my chest when someone new tries to engage with her, but she hasn't out and out cried when a stranger talks to her or anything. She is pretty chill and relaxed which is exactly how Koa was as a baby too so it's funny going through the same things twice!
She goes in the church nursery now for most every service, since she is too noisy! I love her little voice. She loves to say "dadada" and make any high pitched sounds. She still loves to be worn in the Ergo carrier although this past week I hurt my back really bad so that has been minimal... but when we are out in public that is the only way she will sleep. Overall, she is still such a happy, easy going baby and yes, we are still in love with her and our love grows day by day!
Happy 7 months to you Norah Jane Michaela!
