Norah's Dedication

Our church had a baby dedication at the beginning of November and Jason and I were so excited to be able to dedicate Norah to God. Our pastor made it really special. We made an oath to God to raise Norah in a Godly home, pray for her, take care of her and always teach her about Jesus. Then our pastor prayed for all the children being dedicated and at the end we received a special certificate. It was a really special evening. My parents and sister who live out of town came and afterwards we had a dessert fellowship.

A woman (who has followed Norah's story on Instagram and whom I have never actually met) from one of our connecting churches, made Norah this GORGEOUS dress, headband, bloomers, and little lace shoes. Thank you, Adri!!! I cannot believe how beautiful it was on her! She looked like a little princess. In fact, when we were getting her ready and putting her into the dress, Baby K came over and said, "No-wah! Looka like a wittle pwincess!" Then he exclaimed, "Happy Halloween No-wah Jane!!!" He thought that because she was all dressed up, that she must be dressing up as a princess for Halloween! Jason and I were laughing so hard!

It felt so surreal having a baby girl to dedicate to the Lord. I know that God gave her to me, so I gladly give her back to Him. I pray that Norah and K would grow to love Jesus with all their heart and  serve Him and others all the days of their lives. That would be this mama's greatest joy.

In light of the fact that Thanksgiving is coming up, I am reflecting on how thankful I am for my two precious babies, and not only for the gift of adoption in our family, but the fact that God adopted me into His own family and that He is my heavenly father.

Happy Monday all!
