Norah Jane Michaela's 1st Birthday: Tea party style

Norah Jane Michaela had her 1st birthday party on Saturday in our new house! It was a miracle that we were able to make the living room look decent, since just one day previous, there were boxes stacked almost to the ceiling (not even exaggerating). But we made it work and it turned out darling thanks to Pinterest and my mom who came early and helped me make all the food (thank God for moms)! It was a girls-only tea party and all Norah Jane's cousins and friends came dressed up as princesses! Everyone drank tea and pink lemonade and ate yummy, tiny desserts, delicate little sandwiches, fruit kabobs, and cucumber and cream cheese crackers.

Norah took everything very seriously (see pictures) and was very focused on her party! And mostly she just enjoyed the continuous feast that was placed on her high chair tray. And don't forget the cupcakes! Auntie Abbi made and decorated yummy cupcakes just for Norah's party. She is the sweetest. Norah was spoiled with lots of adorable clothes and a puzzle from her friend Emma as well as a baby from Nana and a touch screen phone from Auntie Mo!

I cannot believe it is now September and that Norah will officially turn 1 tomorrow. I cannot believe that one year ago, a precious baby girl was brought into the world and we had absolutely no clue. I cannot believe its been one year since we got the call at 8:30pm that completely changed our lives forever. Our daughter has brought us so much joy this past year. I cannot even imagine life without her.
