We split our return trip home into 2 separate days of driving, so the drive home seemed pretty fast. We left San Fran around 6pm on Friday night and spent the night in a hotel near the Redwood Forest. Somehow we managed to miss the exit for the drive through tree so we turned around at added 1 hour to our trip to drive through it... probably not worth the extra gas, but Koa thought it was pretty cool. We stopped by the Oregon sign (as per my request) and played football for a bit and let the kids stretch.
It was bittersweet to leave Cali, but when I got home i could not believe how big our house felt after sleeping in a hotel all week! I was grateful to sleep in my own bed and snuggle with my own pillow, but I wasn't so excited about reality that hit Monday (Jason going back to school and me back to work).
It wasn't too bad though and now we are almost to hump day. Plus tomorrow I get my hair done! I'll check back in later on in the week to post an article I wrote for a local blog! Happy almost hump day.
