San Francisco (Part 2)
Hello, from bright and sunny California! It's 70 degrees here and we actually had to turn our AC on in our hotel room during nap time! Thus, the reason for me getting a free moment to blog; our kids HAVE to nap daily during our vacation or they lose it or us parents, rather, lose it because our children are losing it! This morning we went on a land and sea tour of the city, but I am getting ahead of myself since these photos are from yesterdays adventure! We began the day exploring Fishermans Wharf and Pier 39.
We of course had to stop in out Boudin Bakery, which has to be what heaven smells like, Jason and I decided. We had stopped to eat here on our honeymoon, but it was fun showing Koa all the bread sculptures like Alligators, turtles, bunnies and crab! We bought a sourdough loaf to share and enjoyed it as a family.

Next we headed over to Pier 39 to explore the little shops, ride the carousel and watch some street performers.
And of course snack on some yummy treats...
Finally, after doing a bit of shopping in Union Square, we headed over to the long awaited (by Koa) cable car ride! He watched in anticipation (and probably lack-of-sleep, antsy-ness) as the cable car men turned it around to align with the tracks.
He was pretty nervous with the famous steep inclines and declines of San Frans streets! But he had fun!

A cable car ride back up the steep hills of San Fran put us back at our car to drive back to our hotel and get some shut eye! It was beautiful! On the drive home, Koa's only comment was, "Dad, these hill are freakin' me out!" Dad replied, "you and your mother both." I opened my eyes only for a fraction of a second to nod. I was too scared to look!

We ended up in Ghirardelli Square just in time for dinner (funny how that happened). And we finished off the night with a GIANT cookie dough sundae piled high with ice cream, cookie bits and crumbles, whipped cream and decadently topped with two Ghirardelli Chocolates which Koa promptly ate. I'll spare you from the picture because number one, we had already eaten half of it before we realized we should've taken a photo and number two, it would probably make you gain weight just looking at the picture!
