It's a Wonderful Life. Yes it is.

Christmas was wonderful. I was spoiled and this year it felt like it lasted a long time. I am always thankful for long Christmas' because sometimes it feels like one day is just not enough to celebrate this wonderful time of year. We started off Christmas last week with my family celebrating at my sisters house. We were all spoiled with fun gifts and had a great time together as a family. After our Children's Church Christmas Play, we celebrated with Jason's family. Our plan was to leave for Washington on Christmas Eve to visit my grandparents and relatives there, so Jason, Baby K and I had Christmas as a family before we left. I kept up the tradition of serving orange glaze cinnamon rolls and sparkling cider.

I forced myself to pull out my "real" camera and snap some photos of this too fast growing little boy. He's almost 18 months!

Is anyone else starting to realize that babies are SO much easier to get a non-blurry photo?? Because half of my photos of Baby K are a blur of blue eyes and blond hair.

Jason and I got each other good old fashion cash this year so we could get some much needed clothes. But we didn't forget the tradition of stockings. My husband picked out beautiful pink nail polish, Blackberry Izzes (my drink of choice), Chai tea, and dove chocolate (I better eat it fast before I start my new years resolution of P90X he he).

Some of you may already know that we have a professional drummer in our house! Yes, he can drum with anything from coffee stir sticks to spoons. So of course he needed his very own drum set to practice on. Behold the best Christmas present ever...

Sadly we had to scoop up a very sad toddler and hit the road (he wanted to bring his drum set). We hopped in the car and embarked on our 4+ hour long journey to visit the relatives.

We had Christmas at my cousin Kari's house (it was lovely) and there were a total of 16 great grand kids running around! I loved it... Something about children makes Christmas super special. Plus I got to meet my cousins brand new little baby Cameron. He's only 3 months and is just darling!

We spent sometime at my grandparents house before we left and I got some sweet photos of them together.

Baby K was a little unsure at first, but he warmed right up!

The drive home went pretty smooth with mommy sitting in the back seat entertaining baby K. Actually it was the other way around. Baby K has been making this new face and it always cracks Jason and I up.

Behold... "The Face"...

(insert flared nostrils haha)

Yes, I was quite entertained on the way home! We stopped at Woodburn Outlet Mall on the way home to get Jason a new pair of jeans and Baby K some new shoes. I fell in love with this tree.
And finally... we had a little more Christmas this morning after we opened presents from Aunt Lori and Uncle Chris and Grammi and Grampa. Baby K loves his new hat from Grammi. He promptly put it on and then proceeded to growl at the little boy I babysit.

Grandpa Brock sent us home with a ton of apples from his trees. Baby K found one this morning and quickly brought it to me saying "eat eat" "Apple!" So I washed it and let him go at it. I think it was a hit Grandpa, thank you...Oh and I am planning on making a homemade apple crisp if Baby K saves me any apples ;)

How was your Christmas??

I loved this post and those precious pics of baby K. Our Christmas was fantastic as my parents flew in from Az. 3 of my 5 sisters and their familys came over, we had a ton of fun playing apples to apples. It was loud and crazy and chaotic, and so worth it.

Aww.. :) so cute! Patton would be insanely jealous of that drum set!! I personally would ask that it come with a sound proof room for it to be played in. ;)
