How we love you.

Where has the time gone? My little baby that I just had curled up on my chest, asleep, is now a big boy, running through fields chasing independence, going down slides without me. I wanted him to stay little forever but each time I lifted him out of his crib to cradle him close, he felt a little bit heavier, a little bit longer, and little bit big for my arms.

Baby K, you have grown into a witty, sweet, sometimes stubborn, tender, cuddly, extremely handsome, toddler boy, who can almost often be found smiling and laughing. I love your laugh. I love how you say "Mommy look" and show us your latest roll or kick or dance move. I love how you say "Daddy watch this!" I love how you love Jason and I. I love that you know us as mommy and daddy. I love that VERY soon we will be your official mommy and daddy.

 

I love that you still love a sippy cup of milk and treat it as your "baba" wanting to be snuggled as you suck it down. I love that you love music and memorize lyrics to songs on the radio. I love that "I will wait for you" by Mumford and Sons is your favorite song (it's mommy's too).

I adore your blonde hair, blue eyes and long lashes. Daddy loves how quick you are to say I love you (it sounds like mew mew). He also is blown us away with how smart you are!

Everyday we thank God that He gave you to us. We are so lucky and so in love. Our love only grows stronger for you each day. Happy almost 2nd birthday, baby. Can't wait to celebrate many more to come!
