Anticipating February...

For as long as I can remember, I have always dreaded January. It was depressing month both financially and spiritually. I always remember feeling down and battling off a dark depression that tried to seep into my life. I know it sounds dark (especially after looking at the lovely collage above) but it was true. Maybe it was because of the let down after Christmas or the lack of money or the lack of employment (January is one of the slowest times for people in construction).

Whatever it was I always remember anticipating February. It was the month of love and crushes (growing up), and after I married there was the  church marriage retreat to look forward to. Of course you always anticipated the romance, love and flowers that would be bestowed upon you that month.

But you know what? This year was the first year that was different. After Christmas had come and gone and the tree was taken down and the Christmas lights no longer sparkled in the window I was not depressed. I was not even down! I had this joy in my heart that I could not figure out...

I finally decided that I think it because God has blessed me with Baby K. He literally has made my days content and joyful. He makes my heart swell with pride and even when life seems to be falling apart he is still there to show me his heart melting grin.

And speaking of the month of Love... I love him. So much I can't even put it into writing. And that is the way that it should be.

So put your January's behind you and here is to February!! Happy Love!

What added blessings you are to our family Naomi and Baby K. I am with you Naomi, the duldrums seem to hit me each January. But this year we had a party of our Ponderosa friends to look forward to the end of the month and I think the anticipation kept me up. Love all those pictures. Please kiss J and K for me.
