Home Tour 2012

I got inspired by a friends blog post to do a tour of my house and especially of some of the neat things I got for Christmas! My sister-in-law is the reason for these adorable pieces of furniture pictured below. We are borrowing her chair and little dresser until she moves out again.

The lighting for this area is a Japanese lantern from Ikea. Do you recognize where else it has been used? Scroll down...

It was a major part of the lighting at my wedding reception!

I've always loved wall picture collages, but was too chicken to actually put the nails in the sheet rock, so this was my halfway point. Picture frame collage on a shelf. I got the frames at TJ Maxx and my friend bought me the one on the far left from Real Deals.

The bird is my garage sale find back in the summer time. I love birds!

My sister-in-law Kenzie, put these stellar knobs on this dresser when she refinished it.

Pretty much all of my furniture is either from a garage sale or bought off Craigslist.. I love them both!

I about screamed on Christmas when I unwrapped this from my stylish sis-in-law... O be still my beating heart. I love peacocks now.

Grammi bought this AMAZING frame for Jas and I for Christmas... Loving it!

As you probably already guessed, my sister Danielle bought this frame for me for Christmas..
We snapped this picture of us on Christmas morning... It was the day my grandma passed away. I don't know how we are smiling, but I do know that I am not wearing any mascara.

I bought this dresser at a garage sale 2 summers ago. We sanded it and painted it and put adorable knobs on it and I adore it!

I love this new addition to my bathroom. My MIL bought this plug-in Scentsy for my for Christmas! It is super adorable!

Bought this frame at a garage sale last summer for 2 bucks and I am putting it to good use!

My mom picked this mirror up for me a garage sale before Jas and I got married.. isn't so vintage?

On my hallway wall I am currently displaying all of my Christmas cards. I got this idea off of a blog that I follow and just had to put it up. All it is is simple bakers twine and clothespins. What I love about this idea though, is that you can keep it up all year long and just display fun pictures you've taken all year long.

The baby room is a little cluttered right now considering that Baby K is hardly sleeping in it (ahem..)

I will avoid a tour of my room because for 1) its dark in there 2) it's kinda messy and 3) scroll down

A little one is fast asleep in their bed...

But I will show off my other new scentsy from Aunt Lori! Not only does it smell delicious, it also shoots pretty pictures on my walls! Makes me happy...

Got this in the mail the other day from Aunt Hopie..

Love this.

It's to good to be put away in the Christmas box. Yup, probably gonna leave it out all year long.

Happy almost Friday =)

I just love your decorating ideas. I, too, do Craig's list, Ikea and garage sales. Aunt Lori doesn't even go to garage sales, she goes "curb" shopping. Love that you, Monique and Kenzie love the "vintage" stuff and make it into "new" again. So thrifty and "green". I have tons of birds, well, maybe not tons but lots. Have your MIL show you the bird Scentsy.
