Home.

I am so loving my new home right now. Like I am not even remotely missing my old apartment. Everyday I wake up with the bright sun shining through my picture window, my feet walking across the hardwood, and think, "Is this a dream? This is too good to be true!" I love everything about it! The natural light that comes in during the day is incredible. We never once even have to turn on a light until dusk comes. Some of my favorite things? Open shelving in the kitchen, rounded arch doorways, massive picture window, creaky wooden stairs, old fixtures on the bathroom sink, loft bedroom, and the list could go on! One of the best things about our new house though?? Is a little something that is going to be added to our living room tomorrow.... a vintage, upright, wooden piano.

I am so incredibly excited. Jason and I have a love and a passion for music. We have been talking about Baby K learning an instrument for the longest time and just two days ago Jason told me he wanted Baby K to learn the piano. I play, Jason plays guitar and drums, I have played the violin since 7th grade and we all love to sing (including Baby K). So our house may be turning into a little musical cottage that you can hear down the lane. I can't even wait!!

So, I'll leave you with a little tour of our home. I am off to snuggle up into my cozy loft and drift off into dreaming about playing my own little piano tomorrow. Sigh. I love my life!

Chalkboard from TJ Maxx: $9.99

His Elmo table and chairs were a steal from a garage sale! 7 bucks!

Vintage bathroom sink fixtures = in love

The landlord said this may have been the place where an old wall telephone was installed back when this house was built! Eeeek! Makes me happy!

Curved archway! Also, the large framed art is from Ikea as well as all of the pillows. They have incredibly cheap pillows there!

Some of my favorite B&W photos

Beautiful flowers from my sister as a house warming gift!

My homey little kitchen

The open shelving I was talking about!

I am in love with my faux lemons I bought at Michaels. Also the canister is from a garage sale: 50 cents!

A favorite: TJ Maxx kitchen rug

Even my front door has character!

My dreamy little loft. I am in the process of re-purposing a chandelier for my bedroom. Can't wait to post pics!

Have a lovely weekend....

Baby K, his buddy and Jas enjoying our front yard.

Cute house. Is the loft open to the rest of the house?

Katrynka, no the upstairs doesn't overlook the house there is a stairwell to a bedroom up there :) it's very private but just feels like a loft because the stairwell only leads to that room :)
