Penny Carnival

On the agenda today, or our bucket list (as my MIL has been referring to), was visit the Penny Carnival. Held in the Central Park downtown, it was the perfect weather to enjoy purchasing cheap tickets to play carnival games, go on wagon rides, get your face painted, and toss penny's into bowls. Baby K had the time of his life. My MIL and her family met us there along with my sister and my nieces. Tickets were a buck for 100 and everything cost about 5 tickets each. At times Baby K was just content to wander around our blanket that we spread in the shady part of the park and munch on 50 cent popcorn or steal bites from his Aunt Abbi's Popsicle. It was so nice just to enjoy the day and chat and spend time with our family. We ended up staying there almost 3 hours! Pssssttt... Wanna know a secret? I haven't even made a summer bucket list, but if I had one I am sure I would be putting a check mark next to Penny Carnival.

Enjoy!

Face painting
I realize it kinda looks like Yoda is painted on his face, but it actually was a bear. (I don't think Nana was laughing at how bad a job the face painter did.... I mean come on she's only getting paid pennies by the hour.)

Loving my bright summer colors I wore today!

The wagon ride (also known as the Elephant Express). I felt so bad for these young guys who had to run these kids in circles for 3 hours straight!

Do you have a bucket list? If so what are you checking off this week?
